Job Description:

1. To read and understand all the system scope and details of the project as per the single line diagram (SLD).
2. To verify the BOQ along with material available at site.
3. To highlight variances if any to the Project Manager at site.
4. To check all the construction drawings with respect to the site conditions.
5. To highlight issues and problems if any to the Project Manager.
6. To coordinate with the design team for changes in construction drawings in alliance with the Project Manager at site.
7. To ensure that no work is executed without approved construction drawings which suit to the site.
8. To ensure that the site is equipped with proper utilities and working tools for the team members.
9. To appraise the team members on the daily work as per the work schedule.
10. To supervise installation of entire electrical system which includes panels, cable trays, cable laying, terminations, transformer, DG Sets, Pumps, Light Fixtures, etc.
11. To take reports from the team members on the daily work and highlight issues related to deviation of work with respect to construction drawings and enlighten them on possible corrections and next action plan.
12. To verify all the installation done by team members daily and do necessary corrections if any.
13. To help the team members in identifying the proper BOQ and daily material issue from stores.
14. To ensure that the team members are working as per the quality and speed required at site.
15. To follow all the working and safety norms at site as per the requirement.
16. To attend site meetings on a regular basis and appraise the Project Manager on the issues, possible resolutions, time schedule, etc.
17. To prepare the daily site report on work done and track the same with the project plan.
18. To report changes if any with proper explanations for delays or otherwise.To be responsible for the attendance of the workmen at site and ensure that they work as per the stipulated time.
19. To produce the report and get approval on the stage wise work completion where required from the client on a regular basis.
20. To ensure that the tools and tackles are handled properly and aren’t misplaced at site.
21. To simultaneously generate the as-built drawing and keep on taking acknowledgements from client for completed activity.
22. To co-ordinate with the client and consultant for any unforeseen circumstances that could arrive at site before taking the decision.

Skills & Knowledge:

1. Should be familiar with HT, LT and DG set installation procedures.
2. Should be familiar with bus duct and cable tray installation procedures.
3. Should be familiar with cabling and cable termination.
4. Should be familiar with earthing pits installation procedures and connection of earthing requirements for all machinery and equipment’s.
5. Should be familiar with light fixtures, sockets, switches, and installation procedures.
6. Should be familiar with measurement/recording of lux level or illumination post installation of light fixtures.
7. Should be familiar with cable scheduling and its route selection for overhead and underground application.
8. Should be familiar with proper protection system requirement for all electrical installations.
9. Should be familiar with installation of fire alarm and detection system.
10. Should be familiar with handling contractors at site and allocating works on everyday basis with proper tools, tackles and drawings.
11. Should be able to read and understand all construction and execution drawings and able to explain the same to team members before job execution.
12. Should be able to read ACAD detail electrical engineering drawings and have complete knowhow of the abbreviations and symbols used
