Technical:

1. To work on conceptual design, basic design & detailed engineering of industrial projects in electricals & instrumentation.
2. To work on Power Load calculations based on equipment loads related to HVAC, Process Equipment’s, Utility Equipment’s, Lighting, Etc.
3. To work on Electrical basic schemes starting with transformer to point of use and represent the same in a SLD.
4. To do equipment sizing and selection related to electricals based on load sheet and SLD – namely transformer sizing, DG set sizing, Bus Bars Sizing, Panel Sizing, Etc.
5. To prepare detailed control and power panel SLD as per scheme agreed with client and project department.
6. To work on cable schedule, switchgear rating etc. based on voltage drop calculations.
7. To work on lighting calculations based on lux levels and working environment. Also, must be familiar with Dialux software.
8. To work on lightening arrestor design and earthing design along with routes, grids and pits.
9. To work on cable tray sizing based on cable routing and cable load.
10. To work on Instrumentation related to SCADA, BMS, Operation of Utilities and HVAC systems.
11. To organise the BOQ along with proper back up costing and quotations from vendors for all components.
12. To prepare Technical Specification and Data Sheets of all electrical components and equipment’s typically used in an industrial project.
13. To work and check RCP, Switch Socket Location, Light Switch Location on the layout.
14. To coordinate with the Project Management Department on various site related issues, trouble shoot them and give technical solutions in reasonable time along with proper documentation.
15. To maintain timelines for work allotted a per schedules set by Project Management department, Department Head and the client.

Skills & Knowledge:

1. Must be thorough with calculations & technical know-how.
2. Must be thorough with equipment selection.
3. Must be familiar with LT Power design and HT Breaker design before the transformer.
4. Must be expert with AutoCAD & work on the same on regular basis.
5. Must be familiar with NEMA & other guidelines related to electrical engineering and design.
6. Must have worked in design of electrical systems for industrial projects.
7. Preferably have visited sites at different stages of projects for monitoring the progress.
8. Preferably have worked in Pharmaceutical Engineering Projects.
9. Preferable have knowledge on technical documentation needed for Purchase, Delivery, installation of components at site like Design Data, Technical Specification, Design Qualification, Construction Drawings, Typical Drawings etc.
