Technical:

Must be able to make, Check, Supervise and Train subordinates for the following tasks :

1. Utility estimation based on utility requirements of process, HVAC, Other equipment’s.
2. Load Balancing of Utility and capacity analysis.
3. Utility capacity selection based on utility estimation and capacity analysis.
4. Prepare utility area location and sizing details based on utility equipment selection, space planning.
5. Prepare Process flow diagrams.
6. Prepare Piping & instrumentation diagrams.
7. Guide on Pipe routing & isometrics.
8. To prepare cross sectional view of pipe rack along with pipes.
9. Pump head, Pipe Size, Pipe Material of Construction, Valve Sizing, Valve selection – all based on fluids and media.
10. Prepare BOQ based on design and layouts.
11. Technical specifications & data sheets for all utility and piping equipment’s and components.
12. Co-ordination with vendors & with other departments like HVAC, electricals, projects,
13. Develop new ideas in piping / utility and keeping self-abreast with the latest trends and technologies.

Added Advantage:

1. Understanding of Raw and Clean utility for pharma facilities.
2. Qualification documentation requirements – DQ / IQ / OQ / PQ.
3. Water system/ Firefighting/ hydrant system understanding and design for various requirements.
4. ETP system understanding and design for various requirements.

Supervisory JD:

1. Assign workload to team members as per project requirement and timelines.
2. Coordinate with Project Management department for client queries and submission of documents.
3. Check and approve workload of subordinates and colleagues for accurate submission of documents required for Purchase, Client Approvals, Construction at site, etc.
4. Control and monitor the Work hour report of each team member and take corrective actions based on discrepancies found.
5. Solve queries technical and personal of team members as and when required.
6. Maintain amicable working between subordinates and colleagues to have better productivity at work.
7. Resolve issues and problems as per requirement .
8. Prepare and monitor KRA’s for team members and update them on regular basis.
9. Monitor own KRA requirements and update them on regular basis for further discussion with RM.
10. Manage subordinate grievances and attend them on priority.

Skills & Knowledge:

1. Must be thorough with calculations & technical know-how.
2. Must be familiar with AutoCAD & work on it when needed.
3. Preferably have visited sites at different stages of projects for monitoring the progress.
4. Preferably have worked in Pharmaceutical Engineering Projects.
5. Must be able to prepare work schedule based on priority.
6. Must be thorough with pipe size calculations & prevailing piping & vessel standards.
